REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Step One:
- Call or email to check availability before registering for the workshop you are interested in. Registration is available online with a major credit card using Pay Pal. We also accept personal checks and money orders. Please call 505/685-0921 to register via telephone. A $300.00 deposit is required to register for the workshop of your choice. If the workshop has not filled 60 days prior to the event it will be canceled and all deposits returned. We cannot hold space for a workshop without a deposit. Once your deposit has been received you will receive an email confirmation. Additional information, including an invoice, will be emailed once the minimum number of participants is reached. Final payment of your balance may be made by check, credit card (paypal), or money order, payable in U.S. funds 60 days prior to the workshop. All costs associated with workshops in New Mexico are subject to state and local taxes.
- Full refund of tuition 60 days or more before commencement of workshop.
- Forfeit of deposit from 60 to 45 before commencement of workshop.
- Forfeit of entire tuition if cancellation occurs 45 days or less before commencement of workshop.
- (Please note: This cancellation policy only covers tuition. The Abiquiu Inn may have a different policy with regard to rooms.)
- Workshop fees vary from $1750.00 to $1200.00 which include breakfast and lunch. Dinner and lodging are not included. Friends and/or spouses accompanying a workshop participant will not be included in the workshop schedule or meals. The Special Workshop, ‘Ribbons of Time’, is a complete package price of $2700.00 including all meals plus lodging to and from Marfa, Texas and Strachan Ranch.
- The Abiquiu Inn will host a welcome buffet dinner upon arrival where participants and instructing artists will have an opportunity to meet. A closing dinner will be held at Jasper Ranch, situated at the base of Cerro Pedernal, hosted by the Abiquiu Workshops.
Step Two:
- Please make your room reservations after registering for the workshop with the Abiquiu Inn. The cost of lodging – dinner (four nights) and travel to and from Abiquiu is not included in the workshop price. Mention the Abiquiu Workshops to receive the special discounted room rate for workshop participants. Please note that registration and cancellation of rooms at the Inn are separate from registration and cancellation of the workshops. If you cancel a workshop, you must also cancel your room at the Abiquiu Inn. The Abiquiu Inn requires a reservation deposit, so please discuss with them the cancellation policy.

DISCOUNTED ROOM RATES:
The Abiquiu Inn room rates posted on their web site through Feburary, 2011, are for winter rates only. The rates posted below or for Spring, Summer and Fall, their peak seasons. Included in the lodging price is breakfast and a box lunch. Each participant is responsible for 4 dinners only. These are special discounted rates.
ROOM RATES FOR March thru JUNE WORKSHOPS
- Single room occupancy: $130.00 / night / person
- Double room occupancy: $100.00 / night / person
ROOM RATES FOR JULY thru OCTOBER WORKSHOPS
- Single room occupancy: $155.00 / night / person
- Double room occupancy: $115.00 / night / person
- The Abiquiu Inn accepts all major credit cards for lodging, individual dinners, laundry, telephone usage and various gift shop items. Please call the Abiquiu Inn for additional rate information: 505.685.4378. Upon arrival to the Abiquiu Inn, all participants will be required to sign a liability release form.
Step Three:
- Travel reservations: Workshop participants are responsible for travel to and from Abiquiu. The nearest airports are the Albuquerque Sunport airport and Santa Fe Municipal airport. Car rentals are available at the both airports. A four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. Abiquiu is about two hours north of Albuquerque and one hour north of Santa Fe. Please do not make travel plans before registering or being told a workshop is a “go.” Some workshops may be canceled if they have not reach full capacity and you wouldn’t want to get caught holding a non-refundable airline ticket.
CANCELLATIONS:
- We rely on your attendance, so if for any reason you need to withdraw, please notify us at least 60 days before the date of your workshop. We will refund your deposit at that time.
- All lodging (and cancellation) arrangements with the The Abiquiu Inn should be made directly with the Inn, 505. 685.4378. The Abiquiu Workshops reserves the right to cancel a reservation if full payment has not been received by 60 days before the start of the workshop. No refund of fees will be made for withdrawal after the workshop begins. Abiquiu Workshops is not responsible for cancellations due to medical emergencies. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance. In the event that a workshop must be canceled due to inadequate enrollment, all fees and deposits will be refunded in full or may be transferred to another workshop, depending on availability. The Abiquiu Workshops are not responsible for reimbursement of non-refundable airline tickets in the event of a workshop cancellation. Please check the status of your workshop before making travel arrangements.
- If for any reason you wish to transfer to a different workshop, please notify us at least 60 days before the start of the workshop. We reserve the right to allow or disallow any transfer.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
- We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances that might prevent your attendance. We suggest a plan that offers coverage for medical/dental emergencies, lost baggage, missed connections, and trip cancellation, should you unexpectedly need to cancel.
